WHAT IS WEBCHAIRING?
webChairing is a Conference Management System
web based that supports scientific management.
webChairing|sm supports
online all activities related to the scientific organization of
the conference
by its Chair, staff members, Program Committee members and reviewers.
The system allows:
- electronic paper submission: authors may submit their papers
for evaluation, in several different formats;
- authors identification: when submitting papers the authors
are identified by filling a short form for further contacts;
- different working areas available for Program Committee members
and reviewers – the program allows different groups with
restrict access to different areas, depending on their function
within the conference management;
- electronic communication between the different user groups
by mailing lists and discussion forums;
- to define and configure evaluation criteria for papers, with
the possibility for the reviewers to comment each one of them,
and evaluation support within specific criteria;
- Program Committee members can easily define new reviewers
and delegate papers on them;
- Chair and Program committee members can follow the reviewing
process;
- after reviewing, the system allows the final evaluation and
classification of the submitted papers in a virtual meeting of
the Program Committee members.
